Headaches

I've been on this forum for a long time and read many stories but I can't remember reading any that mention headaches. I've had tinnitus for 5 years now and about 18 months ago as my tinnitus got louder I started to get constant mild headaches. Since then my tinnitus has worsened and so have my headaches. Sometimes it feels like my head is in a clamp. Does anybody else suffer from constant headaches? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.Paul

hmmm, neither have I.

When I do get headaches, and I’m fairly sure they don’t correlate to T, I drink a lot more water. This often does the trick, along with perhaps painkillers.

Hi Marty, if your head pain is severe and constant I’d ask your GP for a referral to get a mri of your head and neck unless you’ve already had this done.

I have had MRI's but they showed nothing. Thanks Xene.

Yes I do and sometimes they last for weeks and then just go.No idea why.My head feels like it is stuffed with cotton wool.Painkillers don't touch it some times but at other times they do.Will be interested to read your replies on here.

Yes, I get that too, in fact I have it now. I’ve had a low grade headache for three weeks now, it’s a tension headache, and they can go on for weeks. It feels like someone is pulling my hair or the top of my head is bruised, sometimes it’s behind my left eye and sometimes in the forehead. Headache pills don’t really work most of the time. I don’t get these headaches often but have had many over the years and I can never get rid of them. I saw the Dr one time, he said tension headache and gave me some Naproxen pills, I took those for about a week and was fine.

Yes I get loads of headaches but have suffered with them for years. The only thing I’ve found that works is sumatriptan. Tinnitus is worse when I get a headache

I take Sumatriptan for occasional migraine, always works.

I had an Ent appointment last week 21/09/24 and was told that my headaches and dizziness were not to do with my tinnitus or hearing loss but were migraines.
