Hyperacusis gone down

Hi, hav'nt been on here in a while, I have tinnitus and hyperacusis. Hyperacusis was really bothering me. Have to say it has gone down to 30% now.through sound therapy and quiet.i really didn't know what to do a few months ago.hearing therapist told me to set sound app for 4 hours at night when I go to sleep and then let the rest of the night quiet,so I tried this and it seems to have worked,no longer am I bothered by fridges or air cons. Tinnitus up and down with me,it's up at the minute because I'm nervous about flying tomorrow because ears are a bit blocked because of sinus problems with hayfever.

Thanks Michael

Hi Michael,

Great to hear you have made some progress. Did GP not recommend anything for ear pressure?. Do enjoy Turkey (even better now air con no longer bothers you..fab!)

Hi shell, was on antibiotics there for two weeks for sinus infection, but still getting ear pressure off and on was back with doctor there he said ear pressure is related to allergys due to warm weather and hayfever.he said just to take antihistamines in the mean time and if it's still bothering me after the holiday he'l look at it again.its just funny the way all this happened never had bother with sinuses before,it just seems to be one thing after another.he did say to take sudefed 30 minutes before take off and landing.

I know Ive had these nonsense symptoms since my last head cold/sinus infection. Good though that your GP seems sympathetic...mine is beyond useless, half the battle won if your Doc is on side. Will see if things settle over time....fingers crossed. Have a smashing time change of air might do wonders.
