Its louder

Started with T in March and really struggled for the first 6 weeks then i seemed to get used to it and it didn't bother me much but since Sunday (4 days ago) its got louder and i'm struggling again. Keep telling myself it will settle again but a big part of me wants to panic and go mad!!!!

This is a nightmare. Sorry for posting this but just feel desperate

Hang in there Darren. Get out and about or if you don’t already use masking, don’t sit in silence listening for how much louder it is and panicking. I have to sleep with heavy rain sounds, took a while to get used to but saved my sanity at night. Either way I here a lot of people adjust to mild tinnitus and then get hit with something stronger and are similarly able to readjust so fingers crossed! Stay strong.

Tinnitus often fluctuates - and these louder times are often called "spikes" because as suddenly as the volume goes up, it goes down again.

Using sound and relaxation techniques like breathing exercises can help.
