Pulsatile tinnitus.

I have pulsatile tinnitus where I hear my heartbeat like a high pitched whistle. Anyone else have PT. I've had it for 9 years. PT I have ben told is mainly caused by a vascular problem. I've had many scans and currently deciding to have a angiogram to check the veins in my head but the procedure frightens me for a start so holding off having it done at the moment. Im currently. Ring investigated at addenbrooks Cambridge U.K.

According to other people on the Whooshers.com forum (forum for pulsatile tinnitus sufferers), Addenbrooks is the best place in the UK for diagnosing and treating pulsatile tinnitus. Other people on the whooshers forum have had angiograms so best to join this forum and see what they have to say about it.

Hi, I have pulsatile tinnitus too. I have tinnitus 24/7 but the pulsatile is not there all the time it comes and goes. I am pregnant and I have been told that the increased blood flow can cause it although I also had it before I got pregnant. I find it gets worse if I get stressed or if I am bending down picking something up. I can understand your concerns about having the procedure done. Is there a lot of risk involved with it?

Strokes and bleeds. Same. I get it worse when I bend.
