Thank you everyone for your replies on the acupuncture, it was just a thought, I can't stand this much longer, it's like crickets in the head.

Hi, So sorry for you. I have had tinnitus now for 2 1/2 years. I tried everything that I could find to get relief. Acupuncture/nothing. Osteopath/nothing. TMJ/ nothing. Do not get caught up with the scams on the internet. I finally found found a Private Clinic and did the acoustic therapy. They test you and match the sound of your tinnitus and then mix it with some other sounds and you listen to this 3times a day for 45 minutes. It helps to get your brain reprogrammed to your tinnitus sound. Did that for 6 months. It was the only thing that helped me. My tinnitus has gone from I am going to commit suicide to tolerable and it is getting better.I think it will eventually go away. It is a very slow process and you have to try and find stuff that works for you. Meditation I found impossible at the beginning since I thought I was going crazy. It was a horrific high pitched sound. Unbearable. You have to stay positive sometimes 1 minute at a time. You have to tell yourself you will get better. Talk to your body and meditate to tell it to heal. That works for me. If you become negative and upset the tinnitus will consume you. This is a very big lesson in mind and body communication. I hear 2 different sounds one in my right and one in my left. I could write a book as we all could. Do stuff that spoils you and be kind to yourself. I also find at night I have some wine and it helps. Light some candles have a bubble bath and it is distracting. Namaste
