Does anyone know this symptom: when I go out with friends for instance for diner/drink, it seems that I am full of "energy" or that my adrenaline is high and it remains the same all night so I can't get to sleep at all, it seems that my body can't calm down..is it the adrenals?
What can it be? Adrenals playing up?: Does anyone... - Thyroid UK
What can it be? Adrenals playing up?
Hi Cécile,
It's a form of restlessness. Did you experience restlessness when you were hyper, before taking Carbi? I used to be completely wired, unable to sleep even after a huge session of sport or a night out. It was one of my main symptoms, completely gone now. When did you have your last blood test? Take care.
Hi Nathalie thanks for replying. I used to have this when not on a treatment for Grave's disease yes, but now I had my thyroid taken out I was hoping not to have this side effect again. I saw my GP today who advised me to have a blood test tomorrow to check if maybe my new dose of levo is too high (i started on 125 few days ago instead of 100)..xx
Perfect. Maybe you're simply feeling good and don't want to go to bed, it happens too ;-)) Keep us posted!
I have an Adrenal Gland problem, only have a left one ... it seems to have a mind of it`s own .....whenever I am out and about with friends relaxing I get on a high afterwards....feel so good ...the next day I cannot keep awake ...sit down and I just go ....Cannot remember going ...then I am back ...then my husband says * 1/2/3 snaps his fingers and says *back in the room* He tells me I have only gone for 1/2 mins at a time ....to me it feels like I have been alseep for ages. After about 24/36 hours of this * upside-down* I get back to normal . Another thing is I get so Hot internally and then other times cannot get warm.I do feel brighter more alert if I cut out on Gluten ....Wheat /bread/potatoes etc.
I do carry a 100 injection of Prednislone in case of accident/shock/as it is not sure if my *Flight or Fight * would kick in and I may have an Adrenal Crisis. My blood tests show an fluctuating Cortisol which is either low or high ....My DHEA-sulphate is continously extremely Low ...which produced from DHEA in Adrenals
My Endo and I discussed trying a DHEA supplement ..he has prescribed 25 mg x 1 daily DHEA .... this is illegal to prescribe via the NHS ..... it is perfectly legal on a Private Prescription from by a U K Pharmacy....cost £37.50p for 90 capsules plus postage...like everything these days the Inter-net is flooded with ads for DHEA supplements ...not a wise thing to do .
