Letters have been sent to current GP who's head of Practice and my previous Practice where I was a patient for over 25 years.
They've been told that they've done nothing to help me regain my health and that training in the endocrine system is needed. My former Practice has been accused of incompetence, that'll learn 'em.
With info gleaned from knowledgeable people on here, I've sent attachments and links with the words 'you may find this informative'.
*Awaits replies with curiosity*
Current GP has been told I want medication on the NHS. I've regained my fighting spirit and I WILL get T3 without paying for it.
Thanks to everyone here for answering my questions and putting up with me!!
brilliant im doing the same, my evidence mounts, it takes me ages to compile evident data, I may not get help but I will feel satifaction that I have fought my case.
good luck. xx
The days of doffing our cap to so-called 'professionals' is well and truly over. We are paying for these people and if they're not doing their job then they need to be told.
If I receive bad service from somewhere then I will complain so I don't see that they should be any different. A 'service industry' surely although we've paid in advance and not got the service.
Letter was hand-delivered yesterday to current GP surgery, another letter was sent recorded delivery to my previous surgery where I saw 3 GPs and all they wanted to do was prescribe ADs.
It is clear from my medical records that I was actually in pretty good shape for my age. Every 6 months I had an HRT check where weight and blood pressure were checked. For 15 years my hobby has been mountain biking and so I've built up a lot of stamina. I may take along a photo with me hurtling down a hill on the bike!
merissa - good luck and stay with it. Be positive that you will get the help you're entitled to.
This is great to hear. No more lying down and taking it ......Yesssssssss x
Just a little update ... my current GP, also Head of Practice and a cyclist, wants to see me next week for a 20 minute appointment. Complaints Manager will also be there.
Scuttles around looking for papers to take along especially relating to conversion!
good on yer girl---total respect--never ever forget that we are all with you , and always will be.....but always remember to praise when you get above average service or treatment etc ------you would be surprised how many remember the praise but never the complaints [ and if they remember the praise they will always want to help in future-----99pc of the battle won ]....you can always attend your 'meeting ' with a friend or advocate [ a good idea as this also gives you a witness ------and this cannot be refused because with your permision its totally legal.
