To all who have already leant their name, I appreciate the support.

This site hopes to help raise awareness, ultimately to help towards implementing a strategy whereby the right approach, information, access, tests and medication are all provided by the doctors involved ..... and so that I can play Call of Duty Black Ops 2 without the burden of a brain fog and achy fingers ;)

Although most, if not all, Thyroid related illnesses are treatable (I am still learning too after 9 years!), you will find more often than not, the treatments fall short of ‘effective’ treatment and many continue a life of unnecessary suffering.

There are a lot of spelling errors on this website, but it is in its embryonic stage as it only went live sometime this year.

Do kindly gain some understanding and if persuaded, do show your support by registering via this link: tpauk.com/content/1174/the-...

Thank you in advance for your time.

Thyroid UK, the charity that runs this forum, also has a lot of great information on thyroid disorders and their causes and treatment, including alternative thyroid replacements, on their website. thyroiduk.org.uk/tuk/index....

The website also has links to several campaigns you might be interested in, including the recent Scottish Parliament Debate, World Thyroid Register and Register of Counter-examples :)

I'm afraid I'm a Fallout 3 fan. Never played Call of Duty ;) I know what you mean about concentration though!

Good things someone knows what that's about, I didn't! Well I do know about concentration problems of course :D

My husband bought the PS3 in January and although I have exams coming up, I find myself distracted and playing COD laughing at my slow reaction speed. Used to be exceptional in sports in real life :)

Hopefully I will be again soon.

I hope so too. I'm sure you will get your reactions back. I'm getting proper treatment now and I'm feeling so much better. I've even been told I'm ready for my next karate grading in March. A few months ago I wondered how I would get through each lesson. Now I'm enjoying it again, although I'm still a little slower than I'd like, probably due to all the extra weight!

I hope you get the right treatment soon so you can get back to your sports :)
