Searching for decent medical help 'up North'

Just wondering if anyone has been prescribed NDT or Armour etc. in North East and has an a) sympathetic GP or has b) been referred to a great endocrinologist. I'm based in York. Happy to go private if necessary.

Have you contacted the main thyroid UK website for a list of private doctors. Just hit the contact us button and send an email and someone will getback to you with a list.

Also have you looked in the hosp section at the top of this page. Its simple to use and will give you other thyroid sufferers views on your local hospitals.

Alternatively you could always use google - which I find is always a great help.

You might also want to post this in the "questions" section as it could well be missed under "blogs".

Have edited Endo's name down to 'P' - we try not to bring too much attention to the 'good' ones on here! Just in case they get grief from the 'establishment'.
