Just been reading all the info about this pill, having found that Q10 actually raised my blood pressure I'm going to give it a go, I refuse to be put on statins so hope this will work.

The medicine is called Tredaptive in Europe.
From the product's Patient Information Leaflet:
The active substances are nicotinic acid and laropiprant. Each tablet contains 1,000 mg nicotinic acid and 20 mg laropiprant.

Somewhat ironic that nicotinic acid is one form of vitamin B3. And the laropiprant seems to be there to reduce the commonly-associated facial flushing.
And it is not clear whether taking Tredaptive without taking statins has a different impact.
