Salt
Salt craving is a classic symptom of some people suffering from Addison's Disease.
Do you have any signs of darkening of your gums, lips or palms? That is another strong indicator.
Yes, that sounds more like adrenal fatigue....
I used to have salt cravings and I had low sodium levels however, since treating my adrenal fatigue I rarely have such cravings. I used to have to carry an emergency packet of crisps in my handbag so I didn't faint from low blood pressure and low heart rate.
Rod is right too that it is a symptom of Addison's disease. Apparently the salt craving is due to low aldosterone which is common in people with low cortisol. The kidneys excrete far more salt than usual which results in low blood pressure, feeling faint, fatigue and salt cravings.
It does look like you have some issues with low cortisol

Carolyn,
I still crave saltly stuff too, did Nutri sort your adrenal fatigue?
Jane x
Nutri was part of the process, yes. Also lots of rest, magnesium at night, avoiding sugar, caffeine etc, taking vit C. I did notice an improvement quite quickly with the Nutri though.
That sounds like me too. But I also crave sugar!
So do I depending on time of day and what I'm doing, sugar helps with the crashes and salt with everything!
When i was unwell with thyroid and adrenal issues, i put some sea salt in water and drank that for several weeks. Hard to say whether it helped as i was doing so many different things to try and help myself.
