Celtic Sea Salt

I have read a lot lately about the benefits of taking Celtic Sea Salt in water.

Is this for thyroid problems or adrenal fatigue?

Can you it be taken if you have high blood pressure?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

I think it is taken for adrenals and to help people with particularly low blood pressure, so perhaps not a good idea. I believe one is meant to reduce salt to help high blood pressure.

Hi

Thanks for your reply,

I haven't used salt for years and still have slightly high B.P.

In the unrefined salts there are so many benefits. White salt is refined with little health benefits and iodine is added. Dr David Brownstein has written a book about salt and I saw an article reviewing the book and the list of minerals in natural salt that benefit our health was very LONG ! So pink or grey salt are the ones to go for I believe. People who crave salt are often suffering with Adrenals. I think I may have been that person as I was always dabbing up the salt beneath the salt mill :-)

When they write articles about salt in the press they rarely mention that we actually need salt - but the unrefined ones.

Many thanks Marz for your reply, I have ordered the Celtic Sea Salt which is grey. I have low DHEA with high morning Cortisol so I do have some adrenal fatigue. I ordered the salt for this reason then thought about my B.P.

So from what you say I should be O.K. taking it.

I will goggle Dr. Brownstein's book.

Best Wishes browny

I've heard Himalayan rock salt is good by someone in Australia who has Lyme's - pink in colour.
