Hashimotos Disease

Can anyone tell me the symptoms of hashimotos disease, i know its another sutoimmune disease but not much more.

I have Hashimoto's and from my own experience the symptoms are tiredness, dry hair, dry skin, dry heels, bloated feeling, heavy feeling in my chest, digestive problems, food sensitivities, brain fog, memory loss and other symptoms which are less frequent. The thyroid UK website has a comprehensive list. Not everyone has all the same symptoms. I have recently discovered that I cannot tolerate any T4 medication. I also experienced chronic adrenal fatigue a few years ago. Hope this helps.

Thanks for that I have all those symptoms and I'm off to see an endo in a couple of weeks so I will speak to them about it. Do you have an underactive thyroid or over active thyroid?

I had Hashimotos and had a total thyroidectamy last May. It is the worse thing that has ever happened to me in my life to be honest. I would definitely do as much research as you can before you agree to surgery as once its done there is no going back, good luck x
