Can anyone recommend a decent NHS Endocrinologist in the Midlands area? I'm going to ask for a referral but I'm not sure where to ask to be referred to...

Many thanks,

Nikki

Nikki,

I live in the Midlands and can certainly give you several names of Endocrinologists who I would advise you not to see. My story is on here (click on my name and previous posts). I have seen 4 Endo's, the one that I see now is in Sheffield.

Recently I met a lady who says here Endo at Warwick Hospital is good and I could tell you her name but it really depends on the help that you need, is it for diagnosis? or would you say that you are under medicated? etc

For a long time I have seen a caring and clever endochrinologist whom I consult privately at the Warwickshire Nuffield Hospital. She is very open minded about medication and has been a great support to me over the years. I would happily recommend her.

I will not say her name but know who you mean because I have since heard about her, hopefully people can pm you to get her details. She works for nhs too though doesn't she?

I'm also asking to be refered after 7 years of living like a zombie!!!.. even now that I'm medicated ( to a reasonable level) I'm still feeling like death warmed up, so any recommendations for a good Endo will be greatly appreciated. I'm between Burton and Sutton Coldfield for hospital.

Hi, I'm also looking at perhaps seeing her privately but I believe she also works for Gramtham & District Hospital so quite far from Birmingham where I'm based. I may try and see if I can get a referral via the nhs but not holding my breath!
