T4 been running just over range for quite a while. Now my tsh is practically non existant doctor lowered my t4 by about 10%. Feel dreadful. Sleeping much worse and muscle aches very bad. Retested and t4 has gone up again despite lower meds. Very confused! T3 is at 4.4 (lower end). Help/advice needed.

free t4 was 23.5 reference range is 12.5 - 20.5

TSH was less than 0.014 reference range is 0.60 - 4.20

Doc only reduced my levo by about 10% but have had major problems since. Also periods returned monthly after not having had them for nearly 10 months. Coincidence? (I am 55)

Never, never, never, never let your doc reduce your meds based on blood tests!! How do you feel? that is all the doc needs to know, no matter whether you take NDT or Levo your TSH will generally become supressed, there is a reason for this obviously you're body doesn't need TSH especially if you don't have a thyroid any longer!! (Thyroid cancer / RAI treatment.

The doc does not manage your illness, you do, so don't let them dictate!! Blood tests are meant to be a PART of diagnosis and management NOT the be all and end all!!
