I have just been diagnosed and I have been refered to a gastroenterologist. Just wondered is there was anyone with the same problem as myself.
Has anyone out there been diagnosed with Coelia... - Thyroid UK
Has anyone out there been diagnosed with Coeliac disease or Coeliac antibodies
There appears to be several people on here with Coeliac disease. I know since Ive been on Thyroxine I have severe stomach pains a really bad acid reflux. I know its not the same but its all digestive.

Hi Guys
If you want to share and discuss Coeliac Disease feel free to pop across to our HU group Gluten Free Guerrillas. We're keen to make living gluten free simpler for Coeliacs and share tips. As you probably know by now there is a strong link between thyroid autoimmune problems and Coeliac Disease (also autoimmune). Many of our members have thyroid problems as well (often these were spotted before the CD). So pop over and ask away or request to be a blogger. We're happy to share and are seeking some more newbie Coeliacs to chart their journey.
PS IBS is the catch all that most Coeliacs were palmed off with for 10 years before they were diagnosed. NICE guidelines state that if you have Thyroid problems you should be screened for CD as well.
Yes, Fiona, I was surprised to read this. "Testing is also recommended if you have the following conditions:type 1 diabetes; irritable bowel syndrome; underactive thyroid or overactive thyroid glands."

Chance would be a fine thing.
