What should be the level of you blood test for thyroid

Hiya just got my result back of my thyroid and they are at 12.3 was told that is in the normal range but still feel awful in my self many thanks vikki

Hi Vikki, sorry to hear that you feel awful. The result you have of 12.3 looks like your Free T4 result which looks very low to me.

Do you know what your TSH was? you are entitled to a copy of your blood test results so it would be a good idea for you to ask the doc's receptionist to print off the last couple of blood test results and as them what the local lab range is for your Free T4. Ideally it should be at the top of the lab range, in many areas this would be around 22 so as you can see yours is low.

You will feel much better when your TSH is under 1 and your Free T4 is at the top of the range.
