hi
Don’t know if anyone can help but any advise would be good
I’ve been on propranolol 80mg for years (migraines)
Are they known to lower your heart rate ?
Is it normal to have a resting heart rate of 59 and below ?

yes propranolol lowers heart rate and slows conversion of thyroid hormones

Thyroid antibodies
to test Thyroglobulin antibodies you will need to test privately
Suggest you do so including vitamin levels BEFORE seeing any endocrinologist
I gave you links for testing in your previous post
Propranolol is what is called a non-selective beta-blocker. It works by competitively blocking both beta-1 and beta-2 adrenergic receptors, and thereby reducing the effects of stress hormones such as adrenaline and noradrenaline. This leads to a lower heart rate, reduced blood pressure, and decreased workload on the heart.
A normal resting heart rate is between 60 and 100 beats per minute, but if you have been on propranolol for a longer time, it can lower your normal heart rate to a much lower set point.
High doses of propranolol (160mg) can interfere with levothyroxine, if you take propranolol you should try to take it at least 4h away from the levothyroxine, if you can.
