Feeling Very Achey & Weiry After Illness

I recently became suddenly ill with pains, sickness and dizziness, possibly an infection, food poisoning or a virus according to the hospital I was admitted to. Due to vomiting symptoms, I could not keep my NDT down for nearly 3 days. Once the sickness subsided, I started back up with my usual dose of 2.75 grains which generally suited me prior to this bout of illness. Since then though, I am continually achey, stiff and very weiry throughout the day. Getting up in the morning is a struggle, so I'm having to push myself throughout the day. Do you think my medication system has been messed up because of the days unmedicated and going straight back to my normal dose? I certainly don't feel the same as I did prior to the illness episode. 🤔😒

I’ve found that it can take time for thyroid levels to optimise after a bout of illness. Increased lethargy is also common after any infection and it may take several weeks for your body to fully recover. I would try to take it easy, eat nourishing foods/ drinks, and retest thyroid levels in 6-8 weeks.

Apologies for hijacking this thread but it's kind of relevant to my current status and I wondered if you might shed some light. I was due to test over a week ago but MMH had delayed posting problems and in the interim I seem to have caught whatever the latest version of covid is from a plane journey. I'm still deep in the worst of the symptoms and still haven't tested my thyroid levels as the test has only just arrived. How long should I wait after the symptoms ease to test?
