Mega thyroid probs

Currently, the only other 12.5 microgram levothyroxine tablet is Crescent.
Absolutely encourage you to put in a Yellow Card report - for each product.

You will have to accept 25 microgram tablets (and there are several makes) and split them. I know that Vencamil tablets split very easily with just the pressure of a thumb. (This is not officially approved in the UK. But the exact same tablets are sold elsewhere with advice that this is OK.)
However, I'd like to know that you have been tested and definitely need such a low dose? A few member seem OK on 25 but most of us need higher doses.
Could something have changed about you? But ten minutes seems pretty fast to notice a thyroid hormone effect. (Not impossible - I have seen someone change dramatically inside that sort of time after taking a tablet.)

Welcome to the forum
are you saying that you ONLY take 12.5mcg Levo per day?
Standard STARTER dose of levothyroxine is 50mcg (or 25mcg if over 65 years old)
Levothyroxine doesn’t “top up” your own thyroid, it replaces it
Most people end up on roughly 1.6mcg per kilo of your weight per day…..sometimes a bit less …..sometimes a bit more
What are your most recent thyroid and vitamin results
Recommended that all thyroid blood tests early morning, ideally just before 9am, only drink water between waking and test and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test
This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)
Private tests are available as NHS currently rarely tests Ft3 or all relevant vitamins
