I'm about to start T3 (with T4) at 10mcg T3 and 100 mcg T4. Doing a bit of research it appears that the cost of capsules is far lower than tablets. What is the difference between capsules and tablets in both results and cost?
I'm not with NHS, so it will be costs of private prescription. I need to consider whether this is sustainable long-term.
I really need this to work as T4 hasn't done much at all in for my symptoms in 10 years.
Thanks of any advice. 🙂

Many thanks for your reply. Is that an online pharmacy? Where is it in the UK? I think mine will be more expensive as 10mcg oddly seems to be more expensive than 20 mcg!!
NHS prices of all UK thyroid hormone medicines are in my UK medicines document.
The prices for private prescriptions vary. And there is no obvious approach other than asking pharmacies.
I suspect some pharmacies apply a percentage uplift from the NHS prices - and possibly add an additional flat charge. (Plus postage, if needed.)
It will always be best to ensure that prescriptions are written for the actual package sizes. Which will be multiples of 28 for UK products. Or 100 for Thybon Henning.
