After a year of IVF I am 4 weeks 1 day pregnant 🥺 still very early days though.
I have Hashimotos (antibodies pretty under control). Vitamins all optimal and checked regularly. I got my thyroid labs checked this morning as I was feeling some hypo symptoms. I am on steroids as part of my ivf protocol and they tend to tank my t3 levels so I have been testing and adjusting my dose when needed. Although not as bad as previously havent been sleeping amazingly and few other symptoms.
My dose is usually 125mcg levo and 10mcg lio.
On steroids I upped it to 125mcg and 20mg. Then a few days ago 125mcg and 25 mcg with the 5mcg extra lio taken at bedtime (usually around 10 or 11). So there wasn’t much time between the blood draw this morning and last 5mcg dose - around 10 hours.
I had been thinking of adding another 5 of lio but these labs suggest I shouldn’t. Thoughts welcome!

Sounds to me as if you're increasing too fast and not leaving long enough for the dose to settle before testing. Testing just a few days after increasing your dose is not going to tell you anything. You need to leave at least six weeks.
So, if I were you, I'd just leave things as they are for now, and retest in six to eight weeks.
Thank you. Six to eight weeks is too long for pregnancy unfortunately and my endo is supportive of the regular testing. And I’m only changing the dose of the t3. But will maybe leave a bit longer and test again
T3 is the active thyroid hormone, far more potent than T4 (levo). And you really don't want to find yourself with a very high FT3! You really need to give your dose time to settle and certainly don't need another increase in T3 right now. Does your endo specialise in pregnancy?
so , with ft3 still over range in the morning (10hrs after taking a small 5mcg dose) , you are then taking another 20mcg , which means your ft3 level will be significantly over range for much of the day .
personally , that would i would concern me and i would not be comfortable doing that while pregnant.
I just get very particular symptoms when my t3 drops - very poor sleep but manifests itself in a particular way so I can instantly tell when it’s thyroid or say stress or something else.
Given all the replies I stopped the extra 5mcg at night but back to feeling pretty awful again. Thyroid numbers were checked again and they t3 is back down to 5.6 which is too low for me as I just feel like I’ve been hit by a truck. Appointment with endo next week so will discuss with him, possibly need something in between! But thanks for all the feedback much appreciated.
