hi jay , these results are from a couple of months ago.
from previous posts it looks like were you taking 25mcg levo plus some metavive at the time of that test ?
i'm having to guess cos you didn't answer some Q's on previous posts , but looks likely that your levo dose was reduced from 50mcg to 25mcg because there was a test showing low / below range TSH
Aug 2023 ~
TSH level 0.27 mU/L
Thyroid peroxidase AB 67.7 U/ml
if you were taking some metavive as well as levo at time of this test too , then it's is likely that was why TSH was so low , and likely why GP reduced dose.
to give good advice , forum members will need to know if still taking metavive and if so when last dose was taken before any thyroid blood tests.
But why does GP say they want to reduce levo dose further/ stop it ? ...
those test results from 2 mths ago are fine , ie. they don't show any need to stop levo ,because TSH is in range and so is fT4 .
has your GP had other results since then ? is GP aware you were / are taking metavive ?
We seem to be missing the beginning of your treatment, were you previously on a higher dose of Levo and what were your results before adding Metavive? How did you end up on your current regime?
Apologies for late reply - An Endocrinologist in London - and an Exceptional Nutritionist here in South Wales - I don’t know my results before starting Levo as I have moved so many times.
GP rather the Receptionist phoned me last week to inform me . I have a GP appointment but it’s weeks away .
Honestly not sure - when I see him ~ eventually that he will take much notice of anything I will say . Has anyone had much joy from going to an Endo privately.
