Hi does anyone have experience of Vitamin D skin patches please? I'm looking for an alternative to tablets or spray.

I think I tried them many years ago and didn’t particularly like them. From what I remember they weren’t as ‘sticky’ as I felt they should have been (I had used HRT patches in the past and they were very sticky) and they slid around on my skin. I have no idea how efficient they were though and it was a long time ago that I tried them so the quality could have improved by now. They were also more expensive than capsules.
Hollins, Vitamin D doesn't have to be take orally. It can be absorbed transdermally, so patches can work. But transdermal absorption also means that you could, for example, buy vit D in gel caps, split them open, drip the contents onto your skin, and rub it in. Choose a non-hairy area such as inner/upper arm or inner thigh.
Hi Hollins,
I've never used the patches. Would you consider capsules or liquid D3?
There are many to choose from.
I use Nature's Aid liquid vitamin D3 (2,500iu) It has a dropper. Unfortunately I can't remember where I bought it though it was online. Others will make suggestions for you.
