Am I okay to go for blood test later in week.

I when to see the doctors this morning, for issues with my ear & was told I’ve got ear infection and I’ve mention I’ve been feeling achy lately. So requested blood tests & one on list to test was my TSH & ferrtin

( they won’t test my T3 or T4) as it been nearly 1 year since my last one.

I normally go on Monday morning at 8am for blood tests on my TSH.

am i okay to have the blood test at 1pm on either Wednesday or Thursday this week after work

Or on Friday at 8am. It so my doctor has my results when I see her in person again next Tuesday

I am waiting for my medicheck full thyroid blood test to arrive & hoping to get that done at the same time but will most probably have to do that when It my next Monday off work.

If you have your blood test at 1 pm your TSH will be at its lowest, which would probably give your GP a false impression of your thyroid status - especially as they're not testing FT4/3. Personally, I wouldn't risk it, I'd go at 8am Friday, if it were me.

I will be going Friday morning for my blood test. Like you said it not worth risking of going in the afternoon. And getting false impression of my thyroid status
