hi all, I’ve come up with these marks on back on my legs. I was wearing tight jeans today. I noticed a few weeks back I was holding some heavy shopping bags and the same marks came up on my wrist and then yesterday I was scratching my neck and same came up. Do you know what this could be? The ones on my wrist did come up before I started PTU but now I’m thinking it’s the meds and I’m freaking out. Worried about low white blood cells. I’ll call the endo tomorrow but any help tonight would be appreciated. I might not take dose this eve until I have spoken to endo. Only been on meds a week

Does the Patient Information Leaflet suggest any side effects or give warn8ng about anything that could be like what you have shown us?
If you are worried about white blood cells get on to your GP first thing tomorrow morning and ask for a blood test. That could be faster than your endo but you’ll have an idea of what would be best.
I can go down to my hospital and get a blood test but If not I’ll go to gp. I just have no idea what this is x
Good if it will be faster at the hospital, it is very unusual isn’t it. Is it on both legs of just the one? You definitely need to speak to someone. Here’s a link to the PIL in case you don’t have one.
I took carbimazole and it was sore throats that always bothered me but blood tests were always ok so hopefully yours will be fine.
I hope my bloods are ok. I do think it was happening before meds tho but not as bad. It’s just on on leg and it’s defo from the pressure from my jeans x
Can I have link to Pil?
This is a link to a search which finds ALL PILs for carbimazole in the UK.

You must find the one that applies to the specific product you have in order to be sure the data links correctly to the medicines (e.g. list of excipients, whether the tablets can be split or not, etc.)
Thank you helvella. I looked it up copied the link then forgot to add it on, it’s PTU the OP is taking but it’s on there with everything else. Must save that link myself 😊
They look like pressure marks but unusual to have so many.
I have had similar on my shoulder after carrying a back pack a long time.
are you on blood thinners? I have similar problems and if I continually scratch an itch I get really bad marks. Only need to slightly touch something for a bruise to appear. Are your jeans too tight, causing rubbing? Might sound silly but I constantly have bruise marks even when I don’t realise I’ve knocked myself
