you should make kids copy it out in detention (assuming you are still allowed to make them do stuff like that,,, and assuming 'pen and paper' are still 'a thing'
recently on “who do you think you are” Jessica Ennis Hill was discussing as a child/teenager she always started the day with a Jamaican based recipe that included offal …..she (half joking) suggested this had helped her fitness levels
…..quite likely true …..bet her iron/ferritin levels were amazing
Best article ever! I too have started it and will continue through.
I’m hoping it provides some great quotes to explain how each of these key vitamins and minerals have actual biological/physiological mechanisms and thresholds … that it’s not just a black box to throw a multi vitamin at.
I love how it points out clinical trial/research deficiencies on some points. I also love how it points out that fixing our vitamin levels actually has a noticeable impact on symptoms. I think way too many people take a pill/vitamin and feel no different and have no idea how it’s working yet keep spending money on the wrong or not enough supplements.
I agree, I have printed and gone through with a highlighter….vegan diet and academic attainment in young people. Children of vegetarian mothers… Korean children with higher Bs and test results…. It of course links to socio economic factors in a number of ways. I’ve long wanted to run a study on A Level grades and nutrition. Even more so now. Agricultural labourers paid by the kg can’t pick as much as people with higher iron levels so get paid less so eat poorer quality food…stifles development …
thank you for sharing this very detailed research article. I have little to add other than my main symptoms of my Hashimotos is fatigue physical and mental and I have been seeing a dietician who has helped me a lot in making sure I am taking many of the vitamins and minerals discussed in this article ( especially vit b1) and they have helped.
