Does anyone have any experience with potential links between food intolerances and Graves? I've had suspected lactose intolerance for 10 years and have read some studies which suggest that we should avoid our intolerances and/or gluten too. Does anyone have any experience with improved Graves disease linked with diet changes?

Graves disease and lactose intolerance
hi
I have Hashimoto’s and gluten dairy and sulphite intolerance. There are definitely links with autoimmune conditions and food intolerances.
here is a link ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articl...
And a nice vid from the PA forum that explains the stomach lining cells too
I don't have Graves but I definitely have lactose intolerance. Fructose intolerance too.
If you've suspected you have lactose intolerance for 10 years have you not eliminated dairy from your diet to confirm for yourself? If you suspect you have an intolerance, why "poison" your body by continuing to consume it?
Since removing dairy from my diet I don't think it's changed anything re thyroid but my stomach/digestion has vastly improved and I'm no longer bloated with abdominal pain.
There's lots of really good alternative milks out there and, if you like your coffee, go for a barista style one.
Hey there again:
There is no need to write on the Graves forum - as well as here -
we are the same forum members who cover all thyroid health issues.
