Hi everyone,Was diagnosed with Adrenal Fatigue by the late Dr Peatfield - Dr P.
I've had problems ( as I'm sure many of you have) with balancing Adrenal and Thyroid Glands.
#I have been taking Nutricolgy Adrenal Natural Glandular - 100 mg per day. It states ingredients = Adrenal Tissue (Bovine Lyophilized).
It's been okish, however, I think the yesterday I became so much more anxious - I'm sure it was due to this medication?
Does the whole part of the Natural Glandular make you more anxious?
I have heard that different parts from the Adrenal medication can affect this? Stayed of this medication today and feel less anxious but absolutely exhausted!!
However; the good news is that my TSH has lowered considerably - although I have bee told ( which I agree) that T4 T3 levels are more important.
I have M.E. long Covid, Underactive Thyroid ( using Thyroid-S atm?? (a lot of controvacy regarding this product atm but can't afford anything else) and, Excema - my allergen levels are very, v high,
What do other member take?
Love to you all

It's possible. There are various parts to the adrenal glands. The whole gland includes the parts of the adrenal glands that make adrenaline (also known as epinephrine). Too much adrenaline can make people feel anxious.
It is possible to get glandulars that only include the cortex and they don't include adrenaline.
These are the only such glandulars I know about - and both links refer to the same products:
This may have something to do with T3 content (not specifically disclosed) in the glandular.
Thyroid glandulars are not supposed to contain hormones, but it has been found that many of these over the counter supplements do in fact contain hormones and/or steroids.
Anxiety can be caused by excess thyroid hormone...very likely T3.
TSH is not a reliable marker but the fact it fell when taking the glandular is likely an indication that T3 intake has risen....possibly now too much
T3 reduces both TSH and T4....so low TSH could mean the inclusion of too much hormone in the glandular formulation
Ah! Just noticed, you are also using Thyroid-S, this will be adding thyroid hormones too. How much are you taking?
Time to test!
Do you have any recent test results? If not I suggest you have a full thyroid test to include TSH, FT4, FT3, vit D, vit B12, folate and ferritin and if not already tested, thyroid antibodies TPO and Tg.
I'm with Graves and post RAI thyroid ablation 2005 -
reading Dr P I now self medicate and take adrenal glandular and NDT - Thyroid S :
If you have changed your adrenal glandular it may have had an impact -
I take whole adrenal glandular and started this 2 years before switching to NDT :
I think it may be the Thyroid S - there were several prefixed ' 22 ' batches that were in question as to potency - what batch number are you currently taking ?
