Endocrinologist Recommendations

Hi all - I have recently moved to the UK and would like to see an Endocrinologist to discuss my ongoing therapy. I had a full thyroidectomy 18 months ago and would like discuss my treatment with someone beyond the GP and blood tests.

I live in the Reigate Banstead area and work in the Nine Elms area in London - so if near there then better. I am also OK with video consultations.

Please can you PM me any recommendations.

Thank you

This is my standard note when members post asking for comments on, or recommendations for, doctors. Some parts will not apply to this specific post.

If you have not already done so, adding some information to your profile might help and encourage replies. Members are very much more likely to make recommendations if they are convinced you understand what you are asking for, and will use it sensibly.

When someone asks for information about a specific doctor, or practice, or for suggestions of a good practitioner, that post will be closed to replies to ensure that our guidelines are not broken. The poster has not done anything wrong by asking!

It is fine to mention the name(s) of a doctor, or group of doctors, in a question - in neutral language.

For this reason, it is best to ask for information in a new and separate post so that turning off replying doesn’t terminate other discussions.

If you wish to help the person, send them a Private Message (also called Chat) with your information. (The poster might already have asked for Private Messages.)

This also applies if you want to name doctors or practices even when not specifically asked.

And it applies across all health professionals - including alternative practitioners, and all other forms of therapist.

Simply put, do NOT name doctors or other practitioners on the forum.

This is somewhat different to mentioning the name of a doctor due to their public role, their website, etc.

We hope that you get some helpful responses but, if you do not, feel free to post again.

Guideline 30 applies:

30. Do not post information about specific endocrinologists or doctors on the main board without their permission as this may result in unwanted attention from certain areas of the medical profession. If you wish to discuss a particular endocrinologist or doctor, you may mention his/her name and location, providing that you ask for comments by private message only.
