Carbimazole 2.5mg

Been really worried that I may have jumped up being on 2.5mg of Carb(miserable) over the last month and I hadn't received my blood results prior to todays telephone conversation with the endo which lasted approximately 3 seconds ... anyway latest results on 2.5mg daily (endo thinks I'm on 5mg daily) - which my son assures me haven't risen that much but I'm ultra paranoid:

12.08.24 TSH: 0.94 (range 0.27 - 4.5) T4: 15 (range 11 - 23)

previous results on 5mg daily were:

04.07.24 TSH: 0.9 (range 0.27 - 4.5) T4: 13.1 (range 11 - 23)

Should I be concerned? I asked for my results and he said "they're spot on" I said "no can I have my actual results" he then gave me them over the phone.🙄 Why do they try and gate keep them??!!

I'm starting to get hungry at meal times now - I ache a bit especially my hands but I have significantly increased my exercise recently and using a kettle bell so could be that - my hair isn't falling out as much during brushing - my teeth don't ache - heart rate appears to be in a happy range (although I really did push it this morning and got up to 143 😱 with a big ass power walk, weights, planks, etc afterwards and it goes through the roof when I have an appointment with these people) - I've no hand tremors - I can actually go to the loo now which is nice - although peeing quite a bit more😕

My Heart Rate Variability is in a good place atm highest it's been in the low 60s - my sleepy app seems very happy but I am tired although it could be the exercise increase - am I being paranoid? just something doesn't feel quite right but am I just not used to normal?? He doesn't want to do another test for 12 weeks - so I'll test in a few more weeks privately in between ....

Hey there -

So your TSH has remained stable and your T4 increased a little as one would expect since you lowered the AT drug dose and released a little more thyroid hormone into your blood stream.

So - all good - appetite returning and no hand tremor are positives, excess urine a known and otherwise everything is going in the right direction but for meeting and dealing with the medical professionals when it's very easy to blow a gasket - so that's also normal !!

Your exercise regime sounds harsh to me - please stop before you think you should - and do not tire yourself out - graded exercise and walking without weights is enough -

though I know you'll do your own thing - but isn't it nice that you now feel you want and can - just don't tell me :

So no panic just yet?

I like exercising although I’ll try taking it a little steadier 🙂

I don't see any reason to panic at all - not just yet and hopefully not ever -

I know you like exercising - just concerned as it does seem to become addictive for some as I've seen this several times before on here - and patients needing to go back to square 1 again.

You what’s more worrying - my heart rate has dropped since my endo appointment - I can’t believe how worked up I get before these appointments 😞 the stress it’s putting on me is scary 😦
