Berberine

I’ve started taking Berberine how much and how long should you take it for ? I have read that you should have a rest from it after 8 weeks is this correct

I took it for two weeks after having a stool sample that found a bacteria which shouldn’t have been there in such large amounts. I was under the guidance of a functional nutritionist specialising in gut problems.
