Out of monitor my health and medichecks which would you recommend to do? Also im going to try finger prick how many bottles do you have to fill? Medichecks have 20% of at present!
Which company: Out of monitor my health and... - Thyroid UK
Which company
The answer depends on what you want to test! Need more info
If you just want TSH, FT4 and FT3, MonitorMyHealth is best value and, in my experience, fast turnround. This test would just be one small vial.
I want to do ferritin and vid D as well so wondering if it is 2 tubes and how easy it will be
I have absolutely lost faith in MMH. Randox is the way to go, and even better that you can get it from Amazon for next day delivery!
Edit: corrected typos.
i have found MMH fine, used them 3 times since Dec, kit arriveds the day after i order it , blood samples delivered to lab with no problems , and found them very helpful and efficient via email when i had accidentally written wrong collection date on blood sample.
edit .. as well as being pretty affordable if just getting TSH / fT4 / fT3, i mainly like the fact that as it's an NHS hospital lab ,if i ever want to show these results to my GP they will have difficulty arguing that those results are unreliable.
Mindy Gp doesn’t accept monitor my health. But good thing is it encourages them to re do all tests I want!
Both companies are reputable and are used by many members.
I have only used Medichecks andy experiences have been good. The only problem I had was when I wanted a blood draw the person at the clinic was terrible. They weren't directly related to medichecks but medichecks did great solving the issues.
I have only had two types of kits (thyroid and iron) both are small vials of 0.5 mls, very easy to fill.
which ever you use….when posting kit back avoid testing in very hot weather
Ideally….Do test early on a Monday or Tuesday morning
Hi France92,
I did like MMH as if you ever have issues they always send out another tube for you to fill. I've also found them reliable and have replied to any emails that I sent.
Unfortunately I really struggle to do finger prick tests and so I no longer use MMH.
