Cytomel makes me emotional

I take levo and cytomel, numbers are good. I split my cytomel in 2 and take it after breakfast and in the afternoon. I have noticed that a little bit after I take a dose of Cytomel I start to feel very emotional and often start crying. After the crying I feel better, but this is so strange. Did anyone else have the same experience?

Expressing emotions is allegedly helpful. If it’s due to the cytomel, presumably it will settle down again at some point. Maybe just enjoy the relief that tears can often bring.

I agree, but it feels weird. The crying is very intense, uncontrolable. I think it is connected to cortisol being raised by cytomel. I read that crying clears out extra cortisol in the body, so maybe it’s that?

Well that would work all round! I have found that at changes of dosage I can be very emotional. Usually when someone does something kind, even on telly.

I have this same thing going on. Have you figured out why yet? I suspect cortisol but I’m not sure.

Hey Knittergirl, yes I also think cortisol. I am figuring it out but not there yet. I am 40 years old, I dont know about you.. but I suspect cytomel pushes our cortisol and also this might result in more perimenopausal/menopausal symptoms like moodswings?I know my progesterone is getting lower. I am less emotional on just levo but i need a bit of cytomel.
