Just wondering how people got on with fat loss once they were on the correct dose of thyroid medication please?
I know T3 plays a major role in that area, just after knowing how people got on in part to manage my own expectations.
I’m waiting on a new Endo appointment to discuss upping my Levo (from great advice on here), but one of my symptoms of the many is that whilst I can lose weight in a heavily adjusted deficit, I can’t shift fat. Have tested with callipers etc.
Would really appreciate it if anyone is happy to share. Thanks in advance.

Probably isn't fat, probably water-retention, which is what most hypos suffer from. And no calorie deficit is going to get rid of that! You'll probably just downgrade your conversion, make yourself more hypo and put on even more weight.
Is that a really difficult balance for people with hypothyroidism to deal with? Know if I eat at maintenance/surplus I gain weight quickly, some of which is water, but if being in a deficit effects conversion how do we combat that?? Or we just can’t?? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
If conversion is compromised, we can always take T3. Which is difficult to come by but effective. T3 is the active hormone and if you can't lose weight, your FT3 is probably too low, anyway.
