New results not sure what they mean!

Hi, these are my latest results, seeing Endo next week. Feel i need more T3 but results confusing!!

Are you still taking 100mcg Levo plus 20mcg Liothyronine per day?

What adverse symptoms are you still experiencing? Did you test Vit D? Has your ferritin dropped since your last vit check? Are you still GF?

Yes, still 100 levo and 20 T3. Still have times when symptoms come back, swollen neck, tired, breathing, sinus etc.. still GF mainly.

looking at previous posts ……not clear what dose T3

Are you taking 20mcg T3 per day or 40mcg per day

was test done as recommended early morning, ideally just before 9am, only drink water between waking and test and last dose levothyroxine 24 hours before test

This gives highest TSH, lowest FT4 and most consistent results. (Patient to patient tip)

T3 ….day before test split T3 as 2 or 3 smaller doses spread through the day, with last dose approximately 8-12 hours before test

how long have you been on current dose

Test done correctly. On 20 mcg split dose. Last T3 dose over 12hrs before test.

So day before test

10mcg waking, 5mcg mid afternoon and last 5mcg between 8-12 hours before test

How much more than 12 hours was last dose T3

Have you been on current dose at least 6-8 weeks minimum

I habe been on the current dose over 6 weeks. Took T3 half at 7am and other half at 1145 the day before the test. Test was 830am in the morning.

So Ft3 result is falsely low

Last 5mcg should be 8-12 hours before test …..so after 8.30pm night before test

You will no doubt be told that your TSH is far too low.

Apparently i dont need to worry about that as its due to the T3.
