World Thyroid Day - 25th May 2024

Why am I posting a link to the Hindustan Times?

The coverage by UK press is absolutely appalling - inasmuch it exists at all.

The few mentions I did find seemed to have been prompted by PR and/or advertising, or pushed in that direction.

I understood more when there were numerous different thyroid days within and across countries, regions, the world. But now we seem to have one, agreed, official day, couldn't any of them have been pushed to do a really good article? One not dominated by advertorial content?

Have we gone backwards?

it’s crazy. I often find useful health scribbles on Indian/asian sites. This relates to my experiences with medical professionals around the world - far more knowledgeable & open to learning. They listen to patient.

Hurrah for Michael Rosen, who seems to be the only person in the public eye that champions our cause!
