Pretty sure some cells must regenerate Greygoose, as before I was treated at all I had many bad symptoms that went once I was adequately treated on 'decent' Levo. However going rapidly back downhill again on the current crop of rubbish Levo. NHS should be ashamed of itself - or those that decried that we should only have generic T4 alone.

I think it was probably the levo that was making you feel better, rather than cell regeneration, or else you wouldn't be going down-hill again. Levo is not a cure, it is a hormone replacement treatment, just replacing the hormone that the thyroid can no longer make. It doesn't repair the thyroid.

Hadn't thought of that Greygoose, but am sure you are right. Just goes to show how good Goldshield Eltroxin was! Seeing Endo on 8 January so will revise thoughts on what meds to take after that depending on what he says. Thank you for the article.
