Pregnant with Hashimoto's & worried about Medichecks results

I am really worried, I found out I am pregnant a couple of weeks ago and need advice, if anyone can help would love to hear from you.

I am currently taking alternate doses of 75/100 Levothyroxine daily.

I know that pregnancy means I will probably need to increase my Levothyroxine and so I asked my GP for a blood test and they had none available until the end of the month, so I had had a private blood test to check levels myself. I got the results this morning, My TSH has already shot up to 9.52 mIU/L (Range 0.27-4.2)

Free T4 - 18.900 pmol/L (Range 12-22)

I have a GP appointment next Thursday but want to increase my levothyroxine before then. I am also worried that all of the GP's I have seen so far don't seem to really understand thyroid issues so I don't even know if he will know what to do. I saw an Endocrinologist a few months ago and he said to try and keep my TSH below 2 for a healthy pregnancy.

My question is - what shall I increase my dose to and how long before I get my bloods checked again?

Thank you

P.s.

If anyone ever wants private bloods doing I really recommend Medichecks, I chose to have the blood taken at one of their partner clinics by my house on 11th June and they have already received the sample and posted my results online today!

Thank you for your reply, I think you are right but not sure how much I need to alter my dose in order to achieve a TSH of under 2.5. I am thinking about increasing to 125mg per day at least until I go to the Doctors next week. I have another blood test booked in at the end of the month too at the GP's. I can' t really call the endocrinologist that I saw, I paid to see him privately. I also didn't trust everything he was saying because it didn't make sense but when I questioned him he said 'it would be best if you stop researching your disease'!! He also said 'All you women are obsessed with having babies' I told myself I would never see that man again!!

I asked about my dose increase my original post above :-)

congratulations on your pregnancy. The normal amount to increase by is 30-50% as soon as you find out you are pregnant.not to wait for a blood test. You should take a look at the hypothyroid moms website and Izabella Wentz work, they are super helpful 😊
