CRP raised. Does this affect ferritin result in iron panel?

Hello all, yesterday I had lots of bloods taken.Today, I have one result back, the Serum C Reactive Protein Level, results as follows

11mg/L 0-5mg/L abnormal

When my recent iron was taken it was on the lowest number of normal. Serum Transferrin was normal.

Does the abnormal CRP result affect the iron or Serum Transferrin result, I.e. a false normal.

I'm clutching at all straws, trying to find answers.

Obviously, my other blood test results will ensue in due course.

Thankyou for any help.

Yes high CRP is likely to raise ferritin

That’s why it’s important to do full iron panel test

If iron is low you need to improve by diet and possibly iron supplements

GP should retest crp again in 6/8 weeks

My recent serum iron blood test showed lowest 'normal' level, so NORMAL. As my ferritin was normal too, GP has ignored it.I am awaiting other blood test results. Will post those too. Thankyou

I have already had the full iron panel test via GP. I posted anomalies on a previous post.
