John is having telephone consultation with GP tomorrow morning . We are just writing notes in readiness .
NHS have refused to carry out a test for bone density despite GP referral - absolutely awful π
If NHS are simply going to watch and wait we are going to consider private as he has lost so much muscle - the last thing he wants is a break / osteoporosis !
He has now finished folic acid 5mg so will ask GP for blood retest - he is probably due calcium level test anyway and see what parathyroid is doing .
After lots of research we held of Vitamin D because of faulty parathyroid gland the two just work against each other π
No iron testing yet but will explore .
Johns testosterone levels are just over 12 so is he bottom of range ? Thank you for Medichecks link - I think I have interpreted it correctly ?
If you are also looking into finding some good information about parathyroidism, check out the Norman Parathyroid Center. They are located in Tampa Florida and specialize in parathyroid disease. I had hyperparathyroidism in 2016. I went to their Center and had two benign parathyroid tumors removed.
