Hi, I have just changed my Pharmacy and have been supplied with the above. Previously using Almus branded product. Does anyone have experience of Accord branded levothyroxine pse?
Levothyroxine by Accord: Hi, I have just changed... - Thyroid UK
Levothyroxine by Accord
It is exactly the same product.
Look on the side of an Almus packet and it says Accord! And has the same Product Licence number.
Almus is usually supplied in Boots, and Accord in most other pharmacies. But it is not quite as clear-cut as that.
helvella's medicines documents (UK and Rest of the World) can be found here:
helvella - Thyroid Hormone Medicines
helvella has created, and tries to maintain, documents containing details of all thyroid hormone medicines in the UK and, in less detail, many others around the world. There is now a specific world desiccated thyroid document.
I highly recommend viewing on a computer screen, or a decent sized tablet, rather than a phone. Even I find it less than satisfactory trying to view them on my phone.
helvella - Thyroid Hormone Medicines - UK
The UK document contains up-to-date versions of the Summary Matrixes for levothyroxine tablets, oral solutions and also liothyronine available in the UK. Includes descriptions of tablet markings which allow identification. Latest updates include all declared ingredients for all UK products and links to Patient Information Leaflets, etc.

helvella - Thyroid Hormone Medicines - RotW

The link below takes you to a blog page which has direct links to the documents from Dropbox and QR codes to make it easy to access from phones. You will have to scroll down or up to find the link to the document you want.
Levothyroxine branded Almus actually contains Accord.
I always ask for Accord or Almus Levothyroxine as they contain the same product which is Accord.
Almus don’t manaufacture their own pharmaceuticals as far as I am aware but just package others products.
If you look at the foil strips inside they should be marked as Accord.
The image attached is the levothyroxine I am taking at present.
When I took a 50mcg tablet boxed as Almus they also contained Accord.
Almus is a brand associated somewhere along the line with Boots which is where I get my prescriptions from.
