Hi ive posted before last blood test my TSH was 2.8 on 50mg of levothyroxine so after a bit of debate with my Dr he increased to 75mcg blood test in a couple of months . The problem is I have 1 good day everything OK feeling great but the next one from waking up it feels like a hangover even tho I don't drink I feel like doing nothing headache aching and tired it's a constant cycle like that iam going to order a full thyroid test because as you know NHS only test TSH but I did have vitamin D tested last time that was well over a hundred about 165 I think I take D3 and k2 together plus B Complex any advice thanks .

If you haven’t gotten a recent full thyroid panel with TSH, FT4, FT3, ferritin, folate, D and B12 - it is definitely time to plan that!

Please wait at least 6-8 weeks since your last dose increase or the results are unreliable.

I felt exactly the same ups and downs you are feeling day to day, and in my experience it was my body slowly adjusting to the new hormones I was taking. Thyroid hormones are part of a long, complex chain reaction that affects pretty much every thing in your body from head to toe down to the cellular level.

I remember in the early days when I had a good day, it gave me hope. I figured if I could have one good day, soon I would have more! I used to take short naps frequently, then for a while I took less frequent naps but they would last hours. Things are so volatile as your body settles.

But you need the full bloods, and let us know exactly what you’re taking. Your D looks too high, and I’m sure others things need a holistic adjustment too!

But wait til the 6-8 week mark since your Levo increase.

Thanks for that got my D level wrong it was 125 that's after Dr said my D level was reduced from another blood test .

Depending on the unit of measures for that D, it’s still likely too high.

My last blood test was vitamin D 119ng/ml. I was told that was 297nmol.

And was plainly told “That’s too high.”

I reduced my daily D supplement in response.

Ok My Dr said it was in range didn't seem bothered about it I had to basically tell him my TSH should be ideally below 1 on levothyroxine which in the end he reviewed it and agreed.

I think the optimum level of vitamin D for some is not needed. It wasn’t in my case at least and I found out the hard way.

Bridkid67 - please tell us the range and units of the test! Sounds like it might be in nmol?

Could your vitamin D level being quite high be causing the headaches? It did with me and my level was 100, and I stopped the tablets for a while. I tried to get some sunshine as it was summer last year. I then got a test a month or so later on and restarted at a lower dose (1000 iu daily). It is around 65 now. The headaches and a good few other symptoms (not sure I went into toxic range) settled down but not without a lot of harm due to how ill I became.
