Hi there, if you're feeling a bit nervous, yes, split it and take just 25mcg. Most people take levo either first thing in the morning or last thing at night. It must be taken on an empty stomach, with just water, and nothing else for at least 30 mins (preferably an hour). Start for a day or two with just 25mcg, then if all ok, take 50mcg. No need to split it into two daily doses, just a single dose each day.
thank you so much for reply xx am so unwell that’s what scares me and so very nauseous all the time . So try 25 before bed for few days then just 50 or should I take after a few days 25 morn and 25 evening xx they specialist said may need T 3 or net but we can only see as I go how I feel . 🙏🤗
also forgot to tell her my wbc up all time and didn’t know if this would affect anything think it’s my throat cussing wbc attacking it. My tpo and tg so high .
Remember levo is a sort of storage molecule which will stay in your bloodstream until your cells need it, which is when it'll then turn into T3. Its not like taking liothyronine which gives you a 'hit'. Take 25mcg on day 1, then see how you feel. Day 2, either 25mcg again, or 50mcg in a single dose. It will gradually build up in your bloodstream, so hopefully over the course of a couple of weeks you should start to feel some improvement. But it could still be months, with bloods and dose adjustments, before you feel 'healthy' again.... but at least you're now on the right track!
You need to be on a consistent dose for 6-8 weeks and then retest levels (and share with us!) Some members do report feeling much better after a few weeks on Levo, but for me (and many others) it took several months to get thyroid levels and key thyroid vitamins optimal.
Hi thanks for the above advice I am taking vitd3+k2 mouth spray selenium and mg have ordered the complex spray is there any thing else I need ? My medicheck vits wher within range but advice on here from members said could be higher . Am always frightened of taking to much 😨 think as well as being totally unwell in every way and continuously nauseous 🤢 am having to force feed myself . Will have bloods two weeks before next appointment . I think I am not going to see nhs endo anymore and stick to gp and private specialist .
Think am hoping for a miracle to happen and levo work straightaway 🙏😂 but I guess not just wishful 🤔 😂 🤗💕
