Can you post blood results with ranges? Your symptoms could be those of over medication

Sorry Morcan. I couldn’t read it properly.

At first glance, it looks as though you’re not converting T4 to the active FT3 which is the energy store of your body.

I also wonder if your medications are interacting badly with each other. I’ll check. Hold on

What medication are you taking for BP?

i take mycardis but only when bp is high ..n is been happening since i went from 50mg to 75 lt4

and i take after 4 hours from thyroxine

in reply to morcan54

So you’re saying that your BP went up when your Levothyroxine increased? In that case reduce or stop the Levothyroxine.

yes is been up since i went to75mg and i started having irregular pulse stmach upsets pains anxety depression cryng

morcan. I see you have Hashimotos so I presume your Levothyroxine was prescribed by your doctor, along with the Micardis and Akamon. Your doctor should be helping you to get the right dose. You can’t just stop if you have Hashimotos. Are you sure that it’s not the Micardis or Akamon that’s making you feel unwell?

i am sure acamon and mycardis i only take when i get hbp this was happening once in evry so long now it happens every day since increase od thyroxine as for my dr she never helps i dont think she knows how to help sents me to emergency which i cant go i s far and i dont have a car .. yes i have hashimoto but i was feeling beter without mmedication ...

in reply to morcan54

Oh dear. So it looks as though the Levo or Hashimotos is causing your high BP - and your doctor is useless. You mustn’t stop the Levo though

Let me see if I can tag someone who can help

thanks for all advice

in reply to morcan54

Reducing your Levo may help but it’s a very small dose for Hashis

OK. Akaman is apparently a long acting benzodiazepine (like Valium). What BP med are you taking?

mycardis 40mg

i am going to stop i never felt as bad as since i am taking thyroxine everything change forgefull all sort of symptoms make me very ill i cant spend the rest of my life lying in bed and feeling bad i felt beter without it

in reply to morcan54

If you felt better without it, them the obvious answer is to stop it

But why were you given it in the first place morcan? Or did you just buy it over the counter as I know you can do in Cyprus?

Were both blood draws at the same time of day and fasting?

It's not unusual for TSH levels to change.

t3 3.77 [3.1 -6.8] 18.11%

ft4 is 17.35[ 12=22] 53.50%

You do look to be a poor converter, yes. And your FT3 is very low. And that is probably the basis of all your problems. High blood pressure is a hypo symptom.

So, have you had your nutrients tested: vit D, vit B12, folate, ferritin?

Sub-optimal nutrients can be the cause of poor conversion, and also a reason for not being able to tolerate increases in levo. So, very important to sort those out before doing anything else.

Whatever you do DO NOT STOP YOUR LEVO. You are hypo, as shown by your low FT3. The problem is not the levo itself but the fact that you cannot convert it.

yes i have hashimoto but i was feeling beter without mmedication ...

That doesn't mean you don't need it. Hashi's is a progressive disease. That means it's getting worse all the time. You need thyroid hormone to live. Get your nutrients tested and post the results and ranges on here, and let's take it from there. :)

i am taking 2000 d3 and b12 1000mg feritin is 96 and b12 is 345 d ia 16.5 my stomach is not good and i dont think is digesting well i will reduce levo to 75mg and see if something get beter thank you .. i think is your easter today happy easter

Yes, it's Easter all weekend. :)

OK, so you're taking vit D but are you taking its co-factors magnesium and vit K2-MK7?

And are you taking a B complex with your B12? The Bs all work together so need to be kept balanced. And your B12 is still much too low at 345, should be at least 550.

I don't suppose you are digesting well. Most hypos have low stomach acid, which makes digesting and absorbing nutrients food very difficult. Have you had your stomach acid level tested?

If you reduce your levo, your FT4 wil reduce and so will your FT3, and that is already much too low. As I said, it's not the levo the problem, it's what your body is doing to it. And it can't do much with low nutrient levels.
