What exactly are you taking? Levo? If so, you are under-active.

Do you ask for copies of your blood test results? You should always do that. You need to know what's being tested and what the results are. You could be under-medicated. Sweating can be a hypo symptom.

Have you had your vit D, vit B12, folate and ferritin tested? If not, ask for them to be done.

What is hypo if u dont mind me asking you and the name of the tablets i am on is eltroxin 100

If you are taking eltroxin, then you have an under-active thyroid - you are hypo. Hypo means you have a high TSH, and low FT4 and FT3. So, you need to get hold of your blood test results to see what your doctor has tested, and what the results are. :)

Is it ok to be low with my ft4 as i dont kn much about it to be honest with u

No, it's not good at all. That's why you're taking Eltroxin, which is T4.

And how xan i fix it if you dont mind me asking

You continue to take the Eltroxin for the rest of your life. That's the only way.

When i do get my results from my blood test they do ring me and tell me everything is normal

Yes, maybe. But the problem is you can't trust them to know what 'normal' is.

When a doctor says 'normal', all he means is 'in-range'. But, most doctors are so badly educated that they don't understand that just 'in-range' is not the same as 'optimal', and what you need to be well is 'optimal'. Therefore, you're going to have to learn about your disease - with the help of this forum - and learn to understand blood test results; and always, always get a copy of the results and ranges, every time you have a blood test. It's the only way to be well because doctors just don't know anything much about thyroid.

Well once i took 200 to see if that would help me and when my doc found out she went mad as it could of killed me or gave me a heart attack

I very much doubt that 200 mcg Eltroxin could give you a heart attack or killed you! But, as I said, they don't know much about it.

However, it was a bad thing to do to double your dose like that. You must not increase in such large amounts. The most you can increase is 25 mcg every six weeks.

Yes, you must ask for your results. But, ask for a print-out, not word of mouth. If they just tell you your results, they could make mistakes and often leave out the ranges. Ranges are just as important as the results.

Welcome to our forum,

When you have blood tests for your thyroid hormones, always make the earliest possible appointment (TSH - thyroid stimulating hormone is highest then). Also allow a gap of 24 hours between last dose of levo and the test and take afterwards. This helps keep the TSH at its highest and may prevent the doctor from increasing dose.

Always take levothyroxine with one full glass of water - usually when we awake - and wait one our before eating. Food can interfere with the uptake of hormones.

Also get a print-out of your results, with the ranges for each blood test for your own records. When or if you want to post them, always include the ranges. Labs differ in their machines and so do ranges and without them we cannot answer fully.
