please could someone advise on my results. I’m currently taking 100 Levo and 5 lio. I’m taking a private prescription for the lio but am attempting an IFR with the NHS as I don’t think 5 is enough and it’s too expensive for me to buy. My weight continues to go up and I’m convinced it’s because my medication isn’t right. I’m seeing the endo again in May but don’t hold much hope for a decent discussion after last time he told me t3 was blacklisted in the UK and drew a picture of my thyroid for me like I was a child.
thanks in advance

Your frees are very low T4 46% and T3 just 17% through ranges. You have been taking 5mcg lio for quite a while now?Maybe it’s time to add another 5mcg in the afternoon.Personally looking at the numbers I’d be slightly increasing my levo as well but I know myself changing too many things at once can do more harm than good.Lots of fine tuning involved when on T4/T3 combo. As for your endo,I’m sure you didn’t go and see him for an art lesson!!
Your folate is low and B12 only just at a reasonable level. What supplements do you take with what strength?
Vitamin D should be around 100 - 150. Buy one that includes vit K2 to help it go to your bones. Some are available in oil or you can take it with an oily meal for better absorption. Many members like the ‘Better You’ range of mouth sprays that contain both bit D & K2. Use this calculator to work out how much to take to get your level to 100-150.grassrootshealth.net/projec...
If you're not happy with what your Endo is saying you need to find one that says the right things that you want to hear. You can email info@thyroidk.org for a list of T3 friendly Endos.
Make a post asking for recommendations and state the general area that you are living. messages will need to be by private message only.
Only change either levo or T3 at one time. You need a dose raise of both over time.
Thank you for your reply. I’m taking VIT B daily spray, VIT D and K (4000 iu VIT D and 100 yg VIT K {can’t do the right symbol} )
Sadly I’ve struggled to get a different endo. I went through thyroid UK and was referred to one in Liverpool but they rejected the referral so I’m stuck with this one. I can’t afford a private one sadly. I’m based in Lancashire.
