Nodules are quite common, most go unnoticed. Most nodules do not function but sometimes they do hyper function. This would show up on thyroid function tests.
Thyroid gland can also shrink if affected but autoimmune it’s known as Ords, when it swells called Hashimoto’s.
Focus on FT4 & FT3 on blood test results, which some of more recent post discuss.
