Just a follow up to my post last week

Wanted to say a special thank you to Jaydee1507 and SlowDragon for giving me their very kind and most informative advice.

I was feeling quite stressed at the prospect of having to have a telephone consultation with my GP and feared a low TSH was going to result in being told a reduction in levo would have to follow! However I was pleasantly surprised by my doctor saying as I have Graves’ disease I would benefit from staying on the same dose and he felt I needed to stay on a higher dose!! anyone been told that before? It was a new one on me!! But so be it!

Cholesterol is another issue and of course wants me to go on statins which at this point I refused.

If it wasn’t for the help on here I would of been lost and so confused thank you so much.

I’ve started on a Vit B complex as well as my other Betteryou sprays so I’m hoping they help. Onwards and upwards as they say xx

So right Buddy195 it’s such a wonderful support to so many sufferers.

Must say I was pleasantly surprised by my GP’s reaction to my low TSH but at least one battle not to have to fight 👍

Thank you for your kind response and hope you are ok

Thats fantastic news. It just shows that its worth sticking to your guns and some doctors are easier to approach than others. Well done.

Next step is to get your free hormone results tested privately to see where you really are at.

High cholesterol suggests that your FT3 is too low. You don't need statins, you need optimal thyroid levels. But doctors don't know that.
