TSH is now 0.13 is this ok?

Hey there,

Serum TSH level:

0.13 mIU/L

Normal range:

0.35 to 4.94

After nearly a year of fighting with my GP over meds amounts and optimal ranges, my TSH is finally below 1 after initially being 8-9. I do feel markedly better at times but still have bad days perhaps due to hashimotos and not staying on top of anti-inflam lifestyle. Is 0.13 too low or dangerous?? It’s looks hugely below the nhs range and it’s worried me.

Thanks

No, not dangerous at all. Not even suppressed. But strange because your Frees aren't that high. What are you taking, and how much?

Hey there - I’m on 125mcg levothyroxine mixture of accord and mercury pharma. I can’t get my doc to keep it the same! Let me know what you think? Should my t3/t4 be higher then? I started taking the increase from 100mcg almost exactly 6 weeks ago - so this should be my true levelled out results.

Well, it depends how you feel with them at that level. But 100 mcg isn't a very high dose, and hypos usually need their levels at least over mid-range. But, what I meant was that the TSH doesn't corrispond to your Free levels. But it doesn't really matter unless your doctor wants to dose by the TSH.

I’m currently on 125mcg…I went up to that from 100mcg 6 weeks ago ..is that still quite a low dose?

So you probably do need an increase in dose.

Thanks for your help on this I’ll check with the doc :)

OK, but be aware that he is very likely to say no because of your low TSH. They rarely know how to dose hypo patients.
